The calendar turned to July today, but looking outside you certainly wouldn't know we were two weeks into Summer. We had another round of rain showers this morning and everything is once again covered in raindrops. The "wild" blackberries are blooming now. With all of the overcast days we have been experiencing, the petals are retaining their pretty pale pink coloring. Since blackberry plants love wet conditions, I am guessing that we might have a bumper crop of berries this Summer.
