Not too much to report today. We had a mostly sunny day and I was able to spend a little over an hour this morning down in the big garden weeding. I now have half of the dahlia rows completely weeded and that part looks really good.
Now that I am starting to get some blooming flowers in the garden, nectar loving critters are beginning to frequent the area. I am now seeing hummingbirds working the zinnias and today I had this swallowtail butterfly flitting from bloom to bloom. This is yet another reason that I choose to garden organically. I love having all of the wildlife in and around my garden and would hate to cause them any harm.
