More Progress & More Sun

Today was another amazingly lovely day, though it was on the edge of being a bit uncomfortable. I heard the weather man say tonight that it was the warmest day of the year so far. I think we hit either 88 or 89 degrees. After dinner we headed down to the garden to get some more dahlias in the ground. For the first time, I got hot & sweaty as I dug and planted. We got another 12 in tonight so it now stands at 28 in and 173 to go! Pictured above, two happy plants of "Ryecroft Dave's Choice" a Miniature White Formal Decorative.

When we arrived down at the garden, I immediately heard the unmistakable "chit" of a chipmunk. I followed the sound and found this little guy sitting on a tree branch. He was very brazen and didn't move as I approached. I am not sure what had him so worked up but it made for a good picture!
