Friday night I harvested the last of my "Heirloom Cutting Lettuce" and pulled out all of the plants. They had produced admirably throughout our warm May and June but they were beginning to bolt. I threw most of the plants out in a pile for the deer but tucked a few against the brush line for the bunnies. Last evening I was pleased to see that this cute fellow had found one of the plants and was enjoying an evening snack. Everyone likes fresh, organic produce!
