Planting More Bulbs in March

A single bulb of Muscari "Valerie Finnis"

We managed to get some more bulb planting done today. The rain was forecast to arrive at 2:00 PM, so after breakfast and morning errands, we headed outside. Mom and I started back in the sunset flowerbed. We planted 20 Narcissus "Toto" and 25 Muscari "Valerie Finnis". Once again, considering how very late we are planting these bulbs, most of them are still in a surprisingly good condition. Then we added Dad,  the generator, and auger to the mix.

Down at the tip of the island, picture below, we planted 25 "Merel's Favorite" daffodils.  Then we moved up the hill and planted 20 "Bravoure" daffodils. Finally, in the large front flowerbeds, we added 25 Muscari "Mount Hood", 5 questionable Muscari "Blue Magic", and 10 sweet, little Narcissus "Small Talk". Right as we finished up planting the last of the "Small Talk" it began to rain. Talk about good timing. And judging by the 10 day forecast, everything should get well water in during the next week.
