Today is suppose to be the last day of unseasonably warm weather for a while. We hit a high of 84 degrees before a high layer of clouds moved in. This warm weather has many of the plants, both wild and cultivated, blooming a bit earlier than normal. I noticed the first of the Meadow Checker Mallow blooming this week. These pretty pink mallow grow in our meadows and harmonize beautifully with the blooming iris and wild pea.
