Like everything else in the Southern Willamette Valley, the wild blackberries are late this year. They are finally done flowering, but are still just bunches of growing green marbles. Tonight I did spy the first one turning red, but it will still be weeks and weeks before we are picking buckets full of glossy, ripe fruit.
